Title: The fallen flowers
Artist Statement:
I have decided to choose this artwork to relay my opinions on Gay Marriage in Malaysia. I have chosen Sakura flowers to represent love to give it a more asian approach. I chose the flowers to be pink and purple to represent the love and romance associated to marriage and gay couples respectively. The tree in my artwork represents the society and the dirt/rough surface in my artwork representa hardship and obstacles. In thia artwork, I want to show how the gay couples in Malaysia are looked down upon and how society in Malaysia do not approve of it.
Artist Treatment : Monting board, dried twig, paper, sand, and glue.
